DL denies reports of resignation

Health Minister DL Ravindra Reddy denied reports he decided to resign after his portfolios were drastically cut shot by the CM Kirankumar reddy three days ago.

Speaking to media persons after a two hour meeting with PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana and receiving phone calls from Union Minister and in-charge of AP congress affairs Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad in Hyderabad today, the Minister said the reports that he is unhappy over the curtailing of his portfolios are not true.

“Party is more important to me than portfolios and there is no question of quitting. I will continue to serve the party as a loyal worker,” Ravindra reddy told journalists.

Observing he never demanded any post, he said CM Kirankumar reddy voluntarily offered him the cabinet post. “I won as an independent as far back as 1978,” he said, adding he was only distressed that no leader in the party has been condemning the criticism of the YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
