The Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority has thrust forcibly down the proposal for apportionment of additional shacks along the beach belt.

The regulatory authority had received a proposal for allotment of 12 additional shacks 11 in North Goa and 1 in South Goa yet discarded it. In fact, Levinson Martins, GCZMA member secretary expressed saying that they have given authoritative permission only three additional shacks for North Goa and one for South Goa.  

Martins explained that with the exclusion of for four shacks we have not well thought out the others for scientific and environmental reasons. Intending towards guaranteeing Tourist season Goa will now have 351 shacks, characterized by 243 shacks in the North and 108 shacks in the South.

Shacks have always been a great attraction for tourists in Goa. Nothing goes better than spending good time in seaside shacks in happening Goa.
