Pakistan Denied To Limit Nuclear Program Despite Request From US

In an important development, Pakistan, Wednesday completely denied to limits its nuclear program even after requested by the United States.

According to the reports published in the Pakistani media, Pakistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Maleeha Lodhi, in a press conference in New York on Wednesday said, “Pakisan’s nuclear program cannot be restricted.”

Lodhi added that US Secretary of State John Kerry has requested Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to limit its nuclear program. In response, according to Lodhi, Sharif told Kerry that what was expected from Pakistan must also be implemented by India.

By adding that the Pakistan’s membership in the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) was also discussed in a meeting between Nawaz Sharif and John Kerry, Lodhi said, “The world should first put an end to nuclear activities undertaken by India.”

Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhary, who represented the press conference along with Lodhi said that no other state has acted against terrorism as much as Pakistan had.

Chaudhary further said, “PM’s speech (in UNGA) is going to be important. PM Nawaz is going to present a strong case of occupied Kashmir in front of the world.”

According to the media reports in Pakistan, CHaudhary also said that PM Nawaz Sharif would also speak about Indian involvement in Pakistan during his address.
