Mairaj Ahmad Khan Finishes Fourth In ISSF Shotgun World Cup Final

In the ISSF Shotgun World Cup Final in Rome, India’s shooter Mairaj Ahmad Khan finished 4th on Thursday, after he lost a shoot-off against Egypt’s Azmy Mehelba in the skeet event.

After scoring 118 in the qualification round, Mairaj had managed to reach the final even after finished tied 6th with other two shooters as he advanced to the final after a superior score in the shoot-off.

In the match for the 3rd place, Mairaj scored 14 out of 16 targets where as Mehelba missed only one which took his tally to 15 points.

In Rio Olympics, Mairaj had finished 9th with a disappointing performance and failed to reach the final. However, the shooter had managed to win a Silver medal at the World Cup in Rio de Janerio, earlier this year.
