The Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh is the next name in the film industry to walk down to aisle. The Bollywood actor has been engaged with Rukmini Sahay, a fellow Mumbaikar. The couple had a roka ceremony at a Juhu five star on Tuesday with family and a few friends in attendance.
By asserting that he chose to wear a sherwani designed by Sarath Krishnan to wear on the occasion, Neil said, “My parents (Nitin and Nishi Mukesh) had been looking for a match for me when they came across Rukmini. She's studied hotel management and works in the aviation industry. She is a simple, lovely girl, I am really happy.”
Answering to the question about wedding date, Neil said, “I don't think my parents would want a long gap between the roka and the shaadi but it'll only happen next year.”
He added that he would always prefer a small marriage ceremony. He said, “Marriage is a beautiful institution which brings two families together. It shouldn't be a platform to showcase one's wealth or status. Given a choice I'd prefer a small wedding in a temple or maybe even the beach but our parents will take the final call.”
