Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa on Monday won the women's doubles title at the 78th Senior National Badminton Championships in New Delhi. Jwala and Ponnappa pair defeated Pradnya Gadre and N. Sikki Reddy by 21-17, 21-16 in straight sets. Post match Jwala said, “Me and Ponnappa are the best doubles team in the country. We look forward to continue this form.”

The women's single title was grabbed by Hyderabadi shuttler PV Sindhu and this is Sindhu's third successive final, won her second title with a 21-11, 21-17 win over junior champion Rituparna Das.
