Team Anna proposed hunger protest at Jantar Mantar was not welcomed by the police as they have denied the permission to stage a dharna there. The police said they couldn't give the permission since the monsoon sessions of the parliament would start in the last week of July. It may be noted that the proposed hunger strike of Team Anna is scheduled to take place from July 25.

The Delhi police wrote to the anti corruption crusader Anna Hazare. In their letter, the police stated since parliament sessions would clash with the proposed hunger protest as a large number of people and organizations come to Jantar Mantar to stage protest and it would be difficult to control the situation and stampede might take place.

Now whether Team Anna would change their dates or location has become the topic of the town. The sources said that Anna Hazare is likely to react on the letter in a day or two.
