State Assembly Elections 2016 Results: Saffron At Assam, Congress At Nowhere

The Assembly elections held at West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam and a union territory Puducherry earlier is having its results on today and the picture s started get clear now as most of the results are out.

In Tamil Nadu, defeating the anti-incumbency factor, Jayalalithaa’s AIADMK is on the verge of a historic win the 234-totol assembly seats as her party with the allies is leading on 133 seats against the second major party DMK+Congress on 93 seats and others are on 6 seats.

The election got deferred at Aravakurichi and Thajavur due to the involvement of money in voting and will be held at May 23.

Mamta Banerjee, now has became the national headline as the TMC alliance is heading to a victory in the state of west Bengal with 222 seats off the total 294 and left is on 65 with BJP on 6 and others are on 2 seats.

In 140 total assembly seats of Kerala, change of power is on the cards and Congress, left alliance is set to loose. Left Democratic Front (LDF) on the other hand is on the verge of winning the state and establishing the power of red. The LDF is currently, on 86 seats, while UDF is on 44, and others on 9. Unexpectedly, BJP has opened their account in the state and is on 1 seat.

In a historic setback, BJP with its allies stormed into the state of Assam, snatching one more state from the opposition, Congress and heading a step closer to their mission of saffronizing the whole country. BJP is on 81 seats of the total 140 assembly seats. Congress is on 25, AIDUF is on 12 and others are on 8 seats.

Some good news for the loosing Congress in all the states, In Puducherry, it’s looking to form a government with the lead on 11 seats, AINRC on 11, AIADMK on 3 and others on 1 seat.
