Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremsinghe To Meet PM Narendra Modi Today

The Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremsinghe will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday in New Delhi to discuss several issues of mutual interest. Wickremsinghe, who is on a three-day visit to India and arrived here on Tuesday, will also meet President Pranab Mukherjee.
The meeting between the heads of the two nations has its own significance as recently Sri Lanka joined India in pulling off from the SAARC summit in Islamabad along with other three nations, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Afghanistan.
Wickremsinghe is scheduled to meet External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and some other diplomats will also meet the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. He is also scheduled to address opening plenary of the India Economic Summit in New Delhi on Thursday.
The annual summit, hosted by the World Economic Forum, is expected to be attended by various business and political leaders including top policymakers and CEOs, reports said.
