CM Arvind Kejriwal Sacked Minister Sandeep Kumar For Allegedly Caught On Sex Tape

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has sacked the youngest minister in his cabinet, Sandeep Kumar for allegedly caught on a nine-minute sex tape and confirmed the same by tweeting about Kumar’s ousting.

According to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, 34-year-old Sandeep Kumar described him as showing in a compromising position with two women.

Reports said that the CD was delivered to Arvind Kejriwal’s residence at around 8 pm on Wednesday.

AAP leaders had an emergency meeting at the Chief Minister’s bungalow and decided the action plan for the issue, according to the sources. Sources also said that the leaders also decided who would replace Mr. Kumar as Minister for Women and Child Development, Language and SC & ST.

Arvind Kejriwal tweeted,

Deputy Minister Manish Sisodia while speaking with reporters said, “The Delhi CM found an objectionable CD involving Sandeep Kumar. Within half an hour, action was taken. The minister was removed.”

He further said, “AAP is a party of ideals. It has a zero tolerance policy towards corruption, scandals... Ministers found taking bribes were removed immediately as soon as it was found. Action will be taken swiftly against any member irrespective of status or position.”

While AAP removed the minister, opposition labeled the action as ‘damage control’. BJP leader Vijendra Gupta said, “Chief Minister Kejriwal must resign for burdening Delhi with the most morally corrupt cabinet. Three out of six ministers removed in last one year and dozens of MLAs booked.”

Although ousting of minister is welcomed, the party has not confirmed about whether the further action would be taken on Kumar by the party leadership. Arvind Kejriwal too was unavailable for the comments about the same. It is the great opportunity for Arvind Kejriwal to have a close look on his ministers and not to blame PM Narendra Modi for his government’s failures instead.
