Union Minister Mahesh Sharma Suspended Security Officer For Thrashing Housing Society Guard

Union minister Mahesh Sharma on Friday suspended the security personnel after he was caught on camera while thrashing housing society guards in Ghaziabad. A news agency published the video on Twitter.
Mahesh Sharma spoke to the news agency and told that he apologized to the security guards as soon as he got the information about the incident.

“I have also suspended my security guard and have asked the police to inquire into the incident. Have also apologized to RWA president. If two security guards are fighting what more can a minister do?’” the minister for Culture and Tourism in the current NDA government said.

In the video, Sharma’s security guard has been caught thrashing the security guard after the minister’s entourage moved away. After yelling at him first he started to slap the security guard repeatedly.
News agency have reportedly quoted the security guard saying, “It took hardly two minutes for us to open the gate and yet minister ji’s security thrashed and abused us.”
A security official has confirmed that they would approach the police as they are not happy with the behavior.
