Girl Finds Stolen Olympic Gold Medal In Trash

An Olympian has thanked a 7-year-old girl for, who found his Olympic gold medal in a pile of trash weeks after it got stolen.

An Olympian Joe Jacobi has won the medal in men’s canoe double slalom at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. However, according to Jacobi, his gold medal was stolen when somebody broke into his car in June.

After few weeks, a 7-yeard-old girl Chloe Smith, was walking with her father, when she spotted the gold medal discarded in a pile of garbage. Chloe returned the medal to Jacobi, who had posted about the theft on social media. The Olympians then promised the girl to visit her school and to tell her classmates about her good deed.

According to the media reports, the Olympian visited the girl’s school at Woodson Park Academy and spoke with Chloe’s first-grade class on Monday and had brought his recovered gold medal with him.
