BSP Chief Mayawati Asked The Government To Impose President Rule In UP

Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has asked the NDA government to impose President’s Rule in Uttar Pradesh (UP) on Sunday. Citing failure of the constitutional machinery in the sate, the government had imposed President’s rule in Uttarakhand, she said. She told reporters at her residence, “The same situation exists in UP where law and order situation has gone for toss.”

Comparing today’s situation with the one in the aftermath of Babri Masjid demolition in 1992 which forced the then Congress government to dismiss the BJP government in the state and to impose President’s rule in the state she said, “But BJP will not do so as part of its larger political game plan and internal understanding with the Samajwadi Party to dent the prospects of BSP returning to power in UP.”

She has alleged that PM Modi’s silence over the poor law and order situation in the state is a proof of BJP’s political partnership with the Samajwadi Party and she also said that PM Modi would have imposed the President’s rule in the state much earlier had he been concerned about the degradation of law and order in the state.

Mayawati questioned Modi government on fulfilling its electoral promises and said that BJP should fulfill its all promises before the UP elections. She has alleged that the Modi government has actually allowed the rich to convert their black money to white, claiming a report of the Income Tax department.

She also has rubbished all the claims that BJP chief Amit Shah’s rallies got the tremendous response in the state and said that the BJP has made false promises to its leaders by giving them tickets fro assembly elections.
