ADHM Controversy: Karan Johar, Mahesh Bhatt With Other Producers To Meet HM Rajnath Singh

After the continuous threats from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) over dismantling the screening of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ as it stars the Pakistani actor, Fawad Khan, the film’s director Karan Johar along with Mahesh Bhatt , Bollywood producer Siddharth Roy Kapoor and other prominent film personalities have decided to meet Home Minister Rajnath Singh today afternoon to discuss the issue.

Earlier on Wednesday, the police has arrested 12 MNS members for going to Mumbai Metro theater for disrupting law and order in the name of protesting against Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’s release. Police has confirmed that they will be kept in detention until November 4.

Film’s director Karan Johar has also published a video earlier, in which he acknowledged that he would not engage with talent from the neighboring country given the circumstances.

In the video Johar said, “I respect them with all my heart. I condemn any form of terrorism especially the terrorism that will affect my people in my country and me. We respect our country over and above anything else.”

Veteran filmmaker Shyam Benegal, reacting on Karan Johar’s statement said that he was forced into making the statement and the bullying by the MNS and other associated parties exhibits a sad state of affairs within the society.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, starring Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bacchan, Ranbir Kapoor along with Fawad Khan, set to release on October 28.
