Chinkara Poaching Case: Rajasthan Govt Request SC For Urgent Hearing

After deciding to file application against the High Court’s acquittal of Bollywood actor Salman Khan in the Chinkara Poaching Case, the Rajasthan government has requested the Supreme Court for the urgent hearing in the case, according to the reports by a news agency.

Earlier on Wednesday, the government had asked the top court to direct the actor to surrender for killing two chinkaras 18 years ago, after filing a leave petition against the acquittal of the High Court.

The actor had allegedly killed two chinkaras on Spetember 26 and 28, 1998 on the outskirts of Jodhpur, when the actor was in Rajasthan for the shooting of his film Hum Saath Saath Hain.
