Dating gets hazardous!

According to a recent research teen dating is taking a hazadous impact. Shockingly, 1 in every 6 youngersters reports act of physical violence.

A survey initiated by University of Michigan Medical School of beyond 4,000 adolescent patients ageing 14 to 20 seeking emergency care, indicated that dating violence was a general phenomenon and influenced both genders.

The research discovered that those characterized by depression, otherwise a history of using drugs or alcohol, had a higher likelihood to act as the aggressor or victim. Vijay Singh, M.D., MPH, MS, the research lead author and a U-M clinical lecturer in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine said that it was important to think about both genders when trying to identify teen dating violence, especially when there were other conditions they may be trying to assess in the health care setting.

Singh added that these data reminded them that teen relationships were not immune to violence and should encourage providers to ask adolescent patients about these important issues and this could help them understand whom to target for screening and referral to, or development of, programs that could help them. The research got published by Annals of Emergency Medicine. (ANI)

Now, needless to say that when we are aware of the violence taking place in dating then we must stop it instantaneously. Otherwise we must give a second though before such decision to undergo dating. Remember all persons can't be same, good or bad. Therfore, it becomes our moral responsibility to analyse the person with whom we are a planning a date. Let the overpowering passion for a relationship be practical before hand, so that you needn't face any bitter experience afterwards.

Think before its too late!
