Two Donkeys awarded for their Loyalty in a desi PETA event

In a desi PETA event that has amused many, a 65 year old politician Vatal Nagaraj, decided to honor two donkeys in recognition of their obedience, discipline, honesty, and loyalty. Without any delay puts his thought into action.

"I have decided to honour all domestic animals like donkeys, dogs, buffaloes, cows and oxes, as they are more loyal than human beings, hard-working, disciplined and obedient," Vatal Nagaraj told to the media.

The two domestic hoofed mammals have been awarded with Rajyotsava awards by Nagraj on Tuesday at the inter-state bus terminus in the city centre.

Ironically, the Karnataka government used to present awards with the same title (Rajyotsava) on November 1st, every year to eminent men and women from different walks of life to mark the state's formation day.

After bathing and making them ready for the occasion, Nagaraj honored both the donkeys with garlands and then with shawls followed by a showering of rose petals.

Then the duo got clapped by the huge crowd and the passersby who stopped to watch the unique event. "I will honour other animals every month in recognition of their contribution to us.  Worshipping cows and taking care of domesticated animals has been part of our rich tradition and hoary culture," Nagaraj said.
