Researchers from the University of California, San Diego have found a new way which will further help in cure many cardiac diseases.

The researchers have created a detailed computer model of electrophysiology of congestive heart failure, which is also a leading cause of death, that can make few change on the cellular as well as tissue levels of the heart and shows the result on the associated electrocardiogram.

Results have showed what happens to the heart when the levels and flow of calcium, potassium and sodium ions are changed. The researchers have also made a full anatomical detailed model of heart which can show what happens to the heart when various chemical reactions and electrophysiologic components of the healthy heart are malfunctioned.

They have also used their model to arrange a new drug strategy against the heart failure form of fibrillation, where the waves of excitation that pump blood out of the heart.
