Ms Devyani Khobragade wins rejection of US serious criticism

An Indian woman whose arrest late preceding year instigated a diplomatic row between her home country and the United States (US) has experienced victory of the rejection of a US serious criticism. The act of charging her accompanying visa fraud at the same time making false statements to the government.

In addition, US District Judge Shira Scheindlin in Manhattan ruled during Wednesday that Ms Devyani Khobragade, who had been India's deputy consul-general in New York, had diplomatic immunity when she moved to reject the serious criticism during Jan 9, and as a result was entitled to the case's rejection.

Judge Scheindlin wrote that the government may not advance on an indictment obtained when Ms  Ms Khobragade was immune from the jurisdiction of the court. She also lifted Ms Khobragade's bail, at the same time said open arrest warrants based on the cause for blame must be thrown out.  

To conclude, a spokesman for US Attorney Preet Bharara in Manhattan had no instantaneous comment. Ms Khobragade known to have returned to India during January.
