White House Petition To Declare Pakistan A Terrorist State Crosses A Lakh Signatories

The White House petition, filed by the Indian-American community in the United States, to declare Pakistan a state sponsor of terrorism, has received more than 1 lakh signatories, thus qualifying for getting a response from the Obama Administration.

Reports said that the petition received nearly 110,000 signatures and was the third most popular petition on the White House website. The Obama administration is expected to respond to the petition with in 60 days.

The petition was launched on September 21 after the Congressmen Ted Poe and Dana Rohrabacher moved the bill to declare Pakistan a state sponsor of terrorism in the House of Representatives.

The petition said, “This petition is important for the people of United States of America, India and many other countries which are continuously affected by Pakistan sponsored terrorism.”

The initiative started by the Obama Administration, “We The People” online petition allows the citizens of USA to campaign before the administration on the particular issue.
