The White House Petition To Declare Pakistan A State Sponsor Of Terrorism Archived By Obama Administration

The White House petition, filed by the Indian-American community to declare Pakistan a state sponsor of terrorism under ‘We The People’ initiative has been archived by the Obama Administration as it feels that the petition has got fraud signatures.

However, the petition has made a new record and has become popular US petition so far. According to the reports, till the petition was archived by the Obama Administration, the petition had received 664,769 signatures.

Although the petition has been archived, Obama Administration has not given any response on the petition, which it is entitled to do so within 60 days once the petition crosses 100,000 signatures mark.

Even though the authorities think that the petition has got false signatures, according to the reports, 50,000 signatures were added after the verification by the White House.

According to the reports, among the 323 petitions that have fulfilled the required mark of 100,000 signatures, 318 have been answered by the Obama Administration with an average response time of 117 days.
