Army Provides Videos Of Surgical Strikes To Government; PM Modi To Decide On Release

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a Cabinet Committee meeting on Security meeting today to discuss the releasing of videos of Surgical strikes conducted by Indian Army on the terrorist launch pads across Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

As few opposition leaders such as Arvind Kejriwal of AAP and Sanjay Nirupam of Congress are raising questions over the surgical strikes conducted by the special forces of the Indian Army, the pressure on the government is increasing to publish the videos.

However, according to the reports, release of the videos is completely depends on the stand Pakistan takes as the once the video is released it can increase the tensions between India and Pakistan on diplomatic level as well as along with border.

Reports said that the government has enough proofs of the surgical strikes including photos, videos filmed by the soldiers on ground and taken by the Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) deployed to supervise the operation.

According to the reports published in an English daily, the eyewitnesses in PoK has accepted that huge firing took place in the area on the night of September 29. And in the mosque of Laskhkar, cleric vowed to avenge the killings of their men and blamed Pakistani army for failing to protect the border.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has not changed its denial mode since the news of surgical broke by the DGMO Lt. Gen, Ranbir Singh. Pakistan has said that no surgical strikes took place in the region and said that the two soldiers were died in the cross border firing by the Indian forces. However, Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif had condemned the attack initially.
