CAB To Organize Photo Exhibition To Mark India’s 500th Test Match

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) will organize a photo exhibition at historic cricket ground, Eden Gardens to mark India’s glorious journey and to celebrate country’s 500th Test appearance.

CAB President and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly on Friday said, “There will be photos of India’s 500 Tests. A small show will be organized during the lunch break on the first day.”

The second Test at Eden Gardens between India and New Zealand will be starting from September 30, which will be India’s 501st Test appearance. The honor to host India’s 500th Test appearance has gone to Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, where the series will kickstart from September 22.

Reports said that the canopy will also be set up in CAB premises for the exhibition.

Sourav Ganguly, by asserting that there will also be fanzone, with places to click selfies, said, “There will be television sets and entertainment. Anil (Kumble) and Sunil (Gavaskar) will talk about India’s glorious Test journey.”

The CAB president dismissed the rumors that Chandu Borde being invited for the second Test as he was a member of Indian team which took on New Zealand in a Test at Eden Gardens in March 1965.
