Pokemon Go Servers Hacked; Two Groups Claimed Responsibility

According to the reports, the servers of the popular Augmented Reality game Pokemon Go has been hacked by the hackers in a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack on Saturday. It is a type of an attack which triggered by bombarding huge requests simultaneously.

However, two groups has claimed responsibility for the hacks. PoddleCorp, a hacking group through twitter said,

The groups also threatened and tweeted that they are planning something big on August 1.

OurMine hacker group, which was recently in a lot of buzz for hacking the accounts of Twitter, Google and Facebook CEOs as well as of some other celebrities, also claimed the responsibility for the attack.

The group said on their website, “No one will be able to play this game till Pokemon Go contact us on our website to teach them how to protect it!” They have also added that they are not going to stop until a Pokemon Go representative contacts them.
