State Assembly Elections 2016 Results Updates: Jayalalithaa in TN, Mamta In WB, BJP in Assam

As the final picture is getting clear, it’s now confirmed that Mamta Banerjee will rule the West Bengal and Jayalalithaa, defeating the anti-incumbency factor, rule the state of Tamil Nadu for the next five years.

The people of Kerala, maintaining their long streak of choosing the alternate parties for two decades, trusted the all-left coalition of Left Democratic Front (LDF). Unexpectedly BJP is expected to open their account in the state with currently leading at 1 seat.

In a historic setback BJP, going further in their dream of Congress-mukt Bharat, managed to snatch one more state from the party, Assam after the three terms of Tarun Gogoi as a chief minister.

Only good news for Congress is from union territory Puducherry, where Congress has confirmed their win and the new CM will be of the party in the region.

Currently, BJP has won 40 seats in Assam off the total 126 assembly seats and is currently leading on 21 seats, whereas Congress has won 20 seats and is leading on 5. AIDUF has won 7 and is leading on 6. Others are on 1.

With the total of 140 assembly seats, LDF is leading in Keralaon 85 seats and UDF on 46 seats. Others and BJP are on 8 and 1 seat respectively.

In Tamil Nadu, AIADMK is on 130 seats of the total 234 assembly seats and the DMK is on 101 with others on 1 seat.

The election got deferred at Aravakurichi and Thajavur due to the involvement of money in voting and will be held at May 23.

With a massive lead of 205 seats, Mamta’s TMC is leading in West Bengal with Left on 79 and BJP and other both are on 5 seats.

In a union territory of Puducherry, Congress has secured its win with 17 seats and AINRC at 8 seats with AIADMK and others on 4 and 1 seat respectively.

Earlier, The Exit Polls has predicted the big win for NDA in Assam, end of Jayalalitha regime in Tamil Nadu and DMK in power, end of left in Kerala and Mamta’s power untouched at West Bengal. Congress will form the government in a union territory of Puducherry, according to the exit polls.
