LoC Trade, Bus Service Canceled In Kashmir

After the continuous ceasefire violation of the Pakistani forces which has resulted into killing the eight people in Jammu And Kashmir living along with the International Border, the authorities has canceled cross-Line of Control trade along with the bus service, in retaliation.

Since the past 13 years, Tuesday’s civilian deaths was a major incident as soldiers from the both sides fired at each other’s positions along the International Border in Jammu region.

Around 24 people were injured in the ceasefire violation from the Pakistani side, which started in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Although the cross-LoC trade has remained unaffected since 2008, the current hostile situation between the two neighbors has affected the business as well.

The General Secretary of Salamabad Traders Union, Hilal Ahmad Turki said, “The reasons are unknown but we hope to start the trade again, very soon.”

Additionally, in retaliation, the bus service, Karvan-E-Aman between the two parts of Kashmir of both the countries has also been stopped.
