Interpol Red Corner Notice Against Pathankot Attack Mastermind Masood Azhar

A big development in the Indian Air Force base, Pathankot attack, Interpol on today has issued a fresh Red Corner notice against Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar and his brother Abdul Rauf for their alleged involvement in the attacks.

The reports have also said that along with Masood and Rauf Interpol is in the process of issuing a Red Corner notice against Latif and JeM suspect Shahid Latif.

JeM chief Masood Azhar, his brother Abdul Rauf, Jan and Latif are allegedly involved in the deadly attack at the Indian Air Force base situated a Pathankot.

NIA stated that Shahid Latif is the main handler in the Pathankot attack and his location probably be at Pakistan, at the current moment.

Latif was first arrested in 1994, convicted in 1995. He was deported to Pakistan through Atari border when his punishment was over in 2010.

The special court has already issued a non-bailable warrant against the four JeM terrorists after the strong evidences presented by the National Investigations Agency (NIA) .

Previously, China using the veto power, blocked the UN sanctions committee to designate Masood Azhar as a terrorist, stating that the case did not meet requirements of the security council.

China feels that the designation of terrorist from UN to any individual is a serious issue and hence China has stated a need for more evidences from India for better understanding the ban on JeM chief.

India is expected to raise the issue with China during the meeting between the external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and her Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on April 18 in Moscow, Russia.

The official spokesperson of External Affairs ministry (MEA) Vikas Swarup earlier has said, “India is in constant touch with China on the matter. The issue has already been taken up at high level. There cannot be two sets of rules for judging terrorists.”
