According to the reports, search operation is on in Punjab’s Pathankot district by the security forces on Wednesday after the local residents spotted few armed men.

Pathankot district police chief, Rakesh Kaushal said, “We carried out search operation around Chakki river bank and nearby forest area. However, nothing has been found so far. The search operation was started on Tuesday and carried on through the night.”

The search operation was launched in Pathankot on Tuesday, after the reports came that the local residents spotted four armed suspicious men. The Police officials confirmed that no arrests has been made till now.

After the January 2 attack on the Indian Air Force base in Pathankot by the terrorists from Pakistan, search operations has been carried out regularly by the security forces, according to the reports.
