Govt. Confirms Development Of Aurangabad-Telwadi Section Of NH-211

The Economic Affairs Cabinet Committee has confirmed the development and four laning of Aurangabad-Telwadi section of National Highway number 211. The total length of road which has been approved for development is 87 km.

The work will be done under National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase -IV on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (BOT/DBFOT) basis in Build-operate-Transfer (BOT) (Toll) mode. The total cost for the development is estimated to be Rs. 2028.91 crore including cost of land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation.

This development can trigger socio-economic development in the region of the state and it will help in expediting the improvement of infrastructure in the state. It will also help in reducing time and cost of travel from heavy traffic which is paying between Aurangabad-Telwadi.

It will help in boosting employment in the region as total number of 3,54,090 mandays are estimated during the construction of the stretch, reports said.
