Car Driver Tried To Hit The Police Official During A Blockade Operation

A police constable Amol Shinde closely saved from being hit by a car as the driver tried to run over Shinde during a nakabandi operation near Wadia College on Bund Garden Road. Shinde, who has been officiated to the Koregaon Park Police Station, suffered few head injuries, according to the reports.

Senior Police Inspector of Koregaon Park Police Station said, “Shinde is out of danger and has lodged the complaint against the unidentified car driver.”

According to Patil, when police were checking cars during the nakabandi operation on Bund Garden Road, at around 2.30 AM police team found a white-colored car approaching towards Wadia College chowk at high speed. Patil added, “When Shinde signaled the driver to stop, the driver accelerated the car.”

Patil further said, “Suspecting danger Shinde jumped to his right to be saved from being hit. The driver dashed the barricades put on the road and sped away. We have booked the car under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code. We have registration number of the car and we will soon arrest the driver.”
