The next installment in the Fifty Shades series, Fifty Shades Darker’s trailer has been released and it has set a new record with more than 114 million views in just 24 hours.

Universal Pictures has stated that the sequel to the successful film of 2015, Fifty Shades of Grey, received 114 million views in 24 hours.

The trailer of the film, which has been directed by James Foley, received 2.5 million views on its official Facebook page, reports said.

Trailer was available to watch on other social platform such as YouTube and Instagram.

Reports added that breaking the record of Star Wars’ 112 million the film’s trailer has become the most viewed trailer on the first day of release of all time.

The film casts Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan in lead roles. New character of a mysterious sexual mentor played by 62-year-old former fashion model and actress, Kim Basinger, has also been added in the sequel.

Fifty Shades Darker is scheduled to release on Valentine’s Day next year (February 14, 2017).
