Pakistan Violates Ceasefire In Rajouri; 1 Soldier Dead, 4 Injured

In an another incident of ceasefire violation by the Pakistani forces in Jammu And Kashmir’s Rajouri sector, commenced on Sunday night, one soldier has been died and four others have been injured, according to the reports.

An Army officer said, “Pakistan Army resorted to heavy cross-border firing in the Rajouri sector, in which four of our soldiers have been injured.”

He also added that the Indian Army is responding befittingly to the firing from the Pakistani side and said that heavy exchange of firing going on.

Earlier on Saturday, the Pakistani forces violated ceasefire in the afternoon at the Nowshera sector with small arms as well as mortar attacks. Reports said that in the firing a BSF soldier as well as a woman was killed and two houses were damaged.

Since the special forces of the Indian Army carried out surgical strikes on the terrorist launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on September 29, there have been 286 incidents of ceasefire violation have been reported in which 26 people have been killed, including 14 security personnel.
