Didi is now furious at the Congress-led UPA government and its tactics. Mamata Banarjee has recently withdrawn her support to the government and now she mentions that these are the last days for Congress. She opined that Trinamool Congress should soon become the center of the anti-Congress front. She has also mentioned that by the next general elections, the Grand Old Party would be annihilated.
She made the statements in her recent interview with a Bengali Daily, Ei Samay. She said her path of anti-Congressism would be undeterred even if she is threatened over the fate of railway projects calling the tensions over the subject needless. She mentioned that she would strive to raise the pitch higher to install a non-Congress, non-BJP government at the Centre. This interview is also Ms Banerjee's first newspaper conversation in the recent times.
"Take it from me: if I understand even a little of politics, the Manmohan Singh government is not going to last more than six months," she affirmed with a higher level of confidence in her tone.
