Two Militants, Soldier Killed In Bandipora Encounter In Kashmir

In an another encounter occurred between the security forces and the militants on Friday, a soldier as well as two militants have been killed, according to the reports.

According to the reports, a group of soldiers from 13 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operation Group, on the information of presence of militants, surrounded Manzpora village at late night on Thursday.

A senior police official said, “With the break of dawn, the flushing out operation was started when the hiding militants opened indiscriminate fire causing critical injuries to a soldier, who later succumbed.”

He further added that two militants have also been killed. Reports said that although firing in the area has been stopped, security forces have started the combing operation.

Meanwhile, in an another operation which occurred in Tujjar village of Baramulla district, security forces surrounded a house in suspicion of the presence of a local militant. The police added that the militants is being persuaded to surrender.
