Restrictions Imposed On Separatists’ Protest March In Srinagar

After the separatists called protest march on Friday in Srinagar, the authorities have imposed restrictions in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir Valley.

To prevent the march called by the separatists, contingents of Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in full riot gear were deployed in both uptown and old city areas of the city.

Reports added that coils of razor fitted concertina wire were placed on main roads and traffic intersections by the security forces. Separatists have asked people to march to the state Rajbhavan in the high security Chashma Shahi area to show their protest.

The security agencies are leaving no stones unturned to ensure peaceful protest march after the Friday prayers.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing Kashmir unrest, around 91 people have been killed and over 12,000 have been injured in over three months of unrest, which started since July 9 after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.
