Two Protesters Killed In Fresh Violence In Kashmir Valley On Eid

In the fresh violence erupted in Kashmir, two protesters have been killed as clashes emerged between the security forces and the protesters, reports said, as the security lock-down and curfew spoiled the Eid festivities in the region.

Police said that the protests erupted at dozens of areas in the region, which have been massive demonstration since the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.     

A protester had been killed in Bandipora due to by a tear gas shell and another was shot by pellets in Shopian in the south. Reports said that at least 60 people have been injured in clashes erupted in all 10 places in the state.

Police used helicopters as well as drones for surveillance in the region as the curfew was imposed in the entire Kashmir valley on Eid, first of its kind since the militancy erupted in Kashmir Valley in 1990.

The planned march by the separatists to the local office of the United Nations have also been foiled due to the curfew, according to the reports.
